The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is a small, compact 3D printer engineered and tested for reliable 3D printing. Replacing it's predecessor, the Replicator Mini model, the Mini+ produces prints at 10% faster speeds, features a sturdier construction and has a 28% bigger build volume.

To ensure higher performance, the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ features improved filament routing, a redesigned Z-stage, a refined gantry, and better print adhesion with a the new Flex Build Plate with Grip Surface to reduce the risk of lifting and curling. The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ uses the Smart Extruder+ to print in MakerBot PLA and benefits from automatic filament detection and pause features.

The Mini+ is cloud enabled and features the new advanced print software MakerBot Print and MakerBot Mobile providing greater control and streamlining your processes. You can send the part to print via Wi-Fi, USB or via the Mobile app and monitor progress using the on-board camera. With the new software, it is also possible to print from native CAD file formats in MakerBot Print, reducing the time needed to convert files and risk of losing important design details*.

Compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems (64 bit only).

As a Professional level MakerBot Authorised Partner, we are certified to provide our customers with the highest level of technical support and preferential access to new product upgrades.

*Please note, Windows users can import assemblies in these formats while Mac users can import in STL file format

1 year manufacturer warranty included.

What operating systems do you need to run the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ 3D printer?

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems.

What's the difference between the new MakerBot Replicator Mini+ versus the previous printer (Replicator Mini Compact 3D printer)?

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is engineered and tested for simple, accessible, and reliable desktop 3D printing.

  • 10% faster print time

  • 28% larger build volume

  • Redesigned gantry and Z-stage with stiffer materials and sturdier construction for increased reliability and print quality

  • Easier print adhesion and reduced warping with a new Flex Build Plate with Grip Surface

  • Cloud enabled

  • On-board camera for print monitoring

  • Factory levelled build platform for ease of use, with assisted levelling to streamline maintenance

  • MakerBot Replicator Smart Extruder+ which is easy to swap or replace, detects filament absence and automatically pauses your prints

  • Uses MakerBot Print software with advanced features such direct printing from native CAD file formats

Is the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ single or multiple extruder?

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is a single extruder desktop 3D printer.  It uses a MakerBot Smart Extruder+ which has the ability to detect filament absence and automatically pause your prints.

You can print in multiple colours with a single extruder by pausing a print and swapping filament, or by printing in multiple pieces and assembling.

What colours/filament can I use?

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ desktop 3D printer uses MakerBot Small spool filament. There is a range of over 20 colours and different finishes including translucent filaments.

You can order additional PLA from our MakerBot filament order page.

How do I get a file to my MakerBot Replicator Mini+ for printing?

You transfer your print ready file to your MakerBot Replicator Mini+ 3D printer via USB cable or Wi-Fi, or you can use the cloud enabled apps such as MakerBot Mobile or MakerBot Print.

What software is required for the MakerBot Replicator Mini+?

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ uses advanced print software, MakerBot Print, scalable design-to-print software that optimised and streamlines the 3D printing experience for any workflow. MakerBot Print is free to download and an easy way to discover, prepare, manage and share 3D printable files. It is the only software to offer integrated Thingiverse navigation.

MakerBot Print has a number of enhanced and additional functionalities:

Native CAD Support: Save time by importing native CAD files, like parts and assemblies. Reduce the number of files to manage, and eliminate the need to convert files to an STL format which prevents conversion errors

  • Print entire CAD assemblies or choose which parts to print

  • 1-click auto-arrange for all components within an assembly

  • Hide and show individual parts and subassemblies in imported CAD projects. Parts from an assembly can be automatically laid out across multiple build plates if there isn’t room on one build plate

Native CAD is for Windows. Mac users can import an assembly as a collection of STL files

Optimised Slicing: MakerBot Print’s slicer algorithm is optimised by the MakerBot engineering team to automatically adjust slice settings for the following:

  • Your specific printer model, software version, and Smart Extruder type

  • Automatic updates add new features for higher quality and speed, when printing a wider range of models and geometries

  • Ensures future compatibility

Cloud-Enabled Management: Remotely control multiple printers from MakerBot Print or MakerBot Mobile. Monitor them via camera feeds and status updates

Automatic Updates: MakerBot Print will automatically update, so you can quickly benefit from new features added through new software or firmware releases

New File Management: Save 3D files and their layout on build plates as projects to share for collaboration. A project allows you to save the designs, print settings, and build plate layout of those designs as one file.

New Print Preview: Preview the path that the extruder will take to create a print. Review layers individually or watch an animated preview:

  • Make adjustments before printing a model

  • View support material placement

  • Validate that small features are printable

Redesigned Supports and Rafts: designed these to break away more easily for a cleaner print surface.

What layer resolution can the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ print at?

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ can print at 100 microns.

What is Thingiverse?

THING file formats are from MakerBot’s website Thingiverse, where you will find over 28,000 projects, models, and things available that can be downloaded and printed on your MakerBot Replicator Mini+ 3D printer.
