“We are thrilled to be opening our first showroom, and we can’t wait to give people an insight into this exciting new technology,” said Simon Chandler, Managing Director of CREAT3D Ltd. “As we offer such a large range of 3D printers, with more to come, it is great for the businesses we work with to able to come and see them all in action, and to compare and choose the best printer for their needs. Equally we want the space to be accessible to the public so they can start to learn about this emerging technology, which will have an increasing impact on our lives over the next few years.”

Whilst 3D printing has been around since the 1980s, the application to the desktop level has really developed over the past 1-2 years, with a wider variety of 3D printers becoming available at a more affordable price. Based on the desktop 3D printers available in the market today, the majority of customers are using 3D printers and 3D scanners for design, modelling, fast prototyping and form, fit & function testing, as well as hobbyist activities.

CREAT3D’s range of desktop 3D printers has been specifically selected to offer customers a variety of functionalities and specifications on build size, colour capability, support material options, print speed and resolution, depending on their individual needs. Further 3D printers will be added over the coming months, including the Zinter PRO, a British made dual-head desktop printer by Ion Core Ltd, who recently represented the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) at CeBIT as an example of UK innovation and technology.
