CREAT3D adds Mcor’s full colour 3D printer to product line-up.

CREAT3D becomes a UK reseller for Mcor, offering the innovative Mcor range of 3D printers to Business & Education customers.

CREAT3D Ltd (, the UK’s leading independent specialist retailer of desktop 3D printers is pleased to announce the addition to their product range with Mcor’s paper based 3D printers, the Mcor IRIS and Mcor Matrix 300+.

Mcor Technologies is the manufacturer of the world’s most affordable, full-colour and eco-friendly 3D printers. They are the only 3D printers to use ordinary A4 paper as the build material, a choice that renders durable, stable and tactile models. Established in 2004 with a talented team of specialists in the area of 3D printing hardware and software, Mcor’s vision is to make 3D printing more accessible to everyone.

Simon Chandler, Managing Director of CREAT3D states, “At CREAT3D, we aim to bring our customers a wide range of 3D printer to fulfil a variety of needs. Many of our customers have been looking for a way to print full colour models at a low price and in an office environment. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce our appointment as UK reseller of the range of products from Mcor Technologies. The most exciting aspect of the 3D print industry over the last few years is the increased access to technology, at a lower cost, and to a larger number of people. The ability of the Mcor IRIS to produce full colour models using plentiful and eco-friendly resources, like paper and ink, is unrivalled“.

Rob Keogh, Sales Manager, EMEA Mcor Technologies affirms, “We are delighted to partner CREAT3D as an official reseller of Mcor’s unique, full colour, paper based 3D printers. CREAT3D are a young, dynamic team with great knowledge of 3D printing and a reputation for great support, from initial consultation through to ongoing service. They will add real value to sales of our product.”

The Mcor IRIS 3D printer is the first true colour 3D printer, creating photorealistic objects, prototypes and models, using paper. The IRIS uses a CYMK print process with an International Colour Consortium (ICC) colour map, to apply 1 million+ colours at 5760 x 1440 x 508dpi, delivering accurate, consistent, rich photo-realistic colours to the printed part. The print process ensures that the Mcor 3D colour ink permeates the paper for the entire part, including undercuts and side walls, not just the upper surfaces. Furthermore, the printed parts can also be further finished to increase strength and durability.

Its capabilities make it an ideal 3D printer for architectural, GIS, print bureau and product design & manufacture applications. With low running costs, little post-processing and an eco-friendly approach through the use of paper and ink (fully recyclable), the Mcor IRIS is also an ideal application in education for Universities and Higher Education institutes wishing to offer its students an accessible means of 3D printing.
