CREAT3D adds MakerBot 3D printer range to product line-up.

The MakerBot family of 3D printers is coming soon to CREAT3D.

CREAT3D Ltd (www.desktop3dprinter.com), the independent specialist retailer of desktop 3D printers and 3D scanners is pleased to announce the addition of the MakerBot range of desktop 3D printers to its wide reaching product line-up.

MakerBot, a subsidiary of Stratasys Ltd, is one of the world’s best known 3D printing companies, with its focus on creating reliable and affordable desktop 3D printers. MakerBot, as US company, was founded in 2009 and has been developing its range of desktop 3D printers into the next generation.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the range of MakerBot 3D printers into our line-up” says Simon Chandler, Managing Director. “MakerBot’s key quality in all the printers it produces is the user experience and orientation. The products are clearly designed around making the 3D printing process as simple as possible, which make the range of products great for first-time users or multiple users, such as in businesses”.

The new line-up to CREAT3D’s existing 3D printer range will include the MakerBot Replicator 2, MakerBot Replicator 5th Generation, the MakerBot Replicator Z18 with extra tall build capacity, and the new MakerBot Replicator Mini, ideal for home users.

The MakerBot Replicator 5th Generation is a single-head desktop 3D printer that has been refined over five generations. It uses the MakerBot Smart Extruder which automatically detects the absence of filament and can pause the print. The MakerBot Replicator is easy-to-use with the intuitive MakerBot Desktop software and LCD 3.5" colour screen and dial. The 3D printer also has an on-board camera for monitoring your print via MakerBot Desktop software and MakerBot Mobile apps.

The MakerBot Replicator Z18 is a single-head 3D printer with an ultra-tall build volume of 305mm(w) x 305mm(l) x 457mm(h) in an enclosed, heated build chamber. It can print at 100 microns resolution and is optimised for MakerBot PLA 1.75mm filament using the MakerBot Smart Extruder.

The MakerBot Replicator Mini is a compact home 3D printer with a single extruder that is optimised for printing in MakerBot PLA filament. It is designed to be easy-to-use with access to designs from Thingiverse or the free design app of MakerBot Printshop. The print-ready design file is transferred to the MakerBot Replicator Mini 3D printer by USB cable or Wi-Fi and it is capable of printing at 200 microns layer height.

Prices start at £1,200 incl. VAT for the MakerBot Mini, £1,620.00 incl. VAT for MakerBot Replicator 2, £2,640.00 incl. VAT for MakerBot Replicator 5th Generation and £6,000.00 incl. VAT for the MakerBot Replicator Z18. Full details and technical specifications on the range of MakerBot 3D printers are available at www.desktop3dprinter.com
