Delivery in approx. 3-5 days

The Xeed, by Leapfrog, is a dual-head, wireless 3D printer with a large build volume. It is designed to be easy to use, with automatic bed levelling and easy load filament functions. As the Xeed is standalone with an in-built tablet, it can also be accessed by a number of engineers or designers and jobs can be queued for printing.

The dual extruders can print in a wide range of 1.75mm filaments including PLA, ABS, or soluble support and more exotic materials such as Hybrid (high-strength). The soluble support structures are ideal for more complex or detailed parts, where support material can be dissolved away from the main part.

The Xeed also features a heated build environment, increasing consistency of prints and reducing the risk of warping when printing larger models or parts.

12 month manufacturer warranty included.

DUAL EXTRUSION, DISSOLVABLE SUPPORT

The Xeed has dual extruders allowing for dual colour or dual material printing. The Xeed can print in a wide range of 1.75mm materials, including PLA, ABS, Soluble HIPS and other exotic materials, using an EasyLoad function.

Dissolvable support is particularly useful where more complex support structures are required as the support can then be dissolved, leaving a smooth finish to the printed part.

LARGE BUILD & WIRELESS PRINTING

The Xeed allows for a large print build platform of 280mm (w) x 220mm (d) x 230mm (h). The 3D printer can operate wirelessly with an in-built tablet from which you can control the prints and the 3D printer settings, allowing for multiple users to access the printer and queue print jobs.

HEATED BUILD ENVIRONMENT

The Xeed has a heated build environment which helps to provide a more stable print environment, designed to reduce warping in larger prints.

AUTOMATIC BED LEVELLING

The Xeed has an automatic 5 point measuring system, Leapfrog’s PerfectLevel system, for levelling the bed. This removes the need for manual calibration, and creates precision levelling.

Where can I download the Leapfrog Xeed user guide?

What operating systems is the Xeed compatible with?

The Xeed is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems.

Is the Leapfrog Xeed single or multiple extruder?

The Leapfrog Xeed is dual extruder, allowing for dual-colour or dual-material 3D printing.

What colours/filament can I use?

The Leapfrog Xeed uses a range of 1.75mm filament in a variety of colours and materials including PLA, ABS, PVA, HIPS and exotic materials.

You can order additional filaments from our Consumables page.

Which files can the Xeed professional 3D printer print?

The Xeed accepts STL files and G-codes file formats.

What software is required for the Leapfrog Xeed 3D printer?

The Xeed is a wireless 3D printer and has an in-built tablet from where you can control the printer. It comes with a user license for Simplify3D printing software to prepare the print file.

Can I print soluble / dissolvable support material?

Yes, you have two options PVA or HIPS. PVA dissolves in warm water but it much trickier to print with, whereas HIPS dissolves in Limonene but prints with settings and properties similar to PLA.

Does the Xeed have a heated bed?

Yes, the heated print bed is heated up to 80°C and sits within a heated build environment.

What size nozzle does the Xeed use?

The Xeed has 2x 0.35mm diameter nozzles.
